City Electric & Communications is based in Jamaica, Queens, and works a tight, deliberate radius around it — roughly 20 to 35 miles. We cover the areas we can reach reliably and inspect properly, which keeps our response times honest and our work owner-checked. That means four core areas: Queens, the Bronx, Westchester County, and Rockland County. We intentionally do not chase every borough; where travel and traffic would stretch us thin, we say so.
Queens — Home Turf
The borough we know best, and where our fastest response times live.
Queens is where City Electric & Communications was built. From Jamaica to Long Island City, Astoria to Jamaica Estates, we have wired storefronts, warehouses, multi-tenant buildings, offices, and healthcare facilities across the borough for decades. When something goes wrong at a Queens site we service, we can be there fast — because we are already here.
Our commercial work in Queens spans camera systems, burglar and fire alarms, access control, structured cabling, intercoms, and VoIP phone systems. We also handle system takeovers when a new owner inherits outdated or unsupported equipment.
The Bronx, Westchester County, and Rockland County
Beyond Queens, we regularly serve three additional markets — all within approximately 20 to 35 miles of our Jamaica shop. The commercial and residential mix shifts by county, but the work is the same low-voltage stack: cameras, alarms, access control, cabling, intercoms, and phone systems.
The Bronx
Primarily commercial work — storefronts, warehouses, and multi-tenant buildings along the major corridors. Quick drive from Jamaica via the expressway, which keeps response times practical for commercial service calls and follow-up maintenance.
Westchester County
A mix of commercial and residential work. We serve offices, small healthcare facilities, and multi-tenant buildings as well as residential low-voltage, security, and home theater — particularly in the southern and mid-county areas closest to the Queens border.
Rockland County
Our most residential-heavy market outside of Queens. We handle home security, structured cabling, and home theater here alongside commercial work. Rockland clients tend to value the same things commercial clients do: a straight answer on what they actually need and a tech who shows up on time.

Response times vary based on location and day, but our tight service area allows for walkthroughs to be available within the same week. Existing clients with systems down receive priority. Queens and the Bronx are our closest areas, while Westchester and Rockland are regular routes.
